As the gem of the West Coast, it is no wonder that the Monterey Peninsula is home to some of the most beautiful beaches in the world.

Carmel Beaches:

  • Carmel Beach (dogs allowed off leash under voice control)

  • Carmel River Beach

Pebble Beach Beaches:

  • Spanish Bay

  • Bird Rock

  • Stillwater Cove

Pacific Grove Beaches:

  • Asilomar

  • Lover's Point

Monterey Beaches:

  • Del Monte Beach

Carmel Highlands to Big Sur Beaches:

  • Carmel Meadows

  • Molera

  • Pfeiffer State Beach

WARNING: We have two beaches which are known for dangerous undertows: Monastery Beach south of Carmel on Highway 1 and Carmel River Beach.  Each year, Monastery Beach claims the life of at least one tourist.  If you visit these beaches, do not swim and stay clear of the water's edge, especially if you are on the rocks.
