Property Management

Why do you need a property manager?

In considering a property management company, you may already have thought of several reasons to use a professional property manager rather than managing your rental property yourself. We have a few additional reasons for you to consider. Property management is a full time job, one generally requiring a significant amount of "hands on" activities. If you live more than a short distance from your home, doing it yourself may result in a significant investment in time and money – and disruptions in your day to day schedule. Property management is "hands on" work, demanding an eye to detail and experience in many areas. A professional property management company will have the trained personnel and reliable outside vendors to handle both regular situations and emergencies. Emergencies do happen. With a professional property manager, you can rest assured that the 3 AM water leak will be taken care of in a timely manner, without your needing to wake up and spend time trying to locate a plumber. Because we do this as a business, our ongoing advertising and reputation in the community provide you with an immediate source of clientele. This reputation and word of mouth advertising takes years to develop. We have spent over 50 years building ours.

Fortunately, we're well equipped to do it, with a highly experienced and qualified staff of professional property managers and agents to handle your needs. Almost all of the properties we manage can be classified in one of three ways (click on the hyperlink to learn more about specific services):

Residential Vacation Rentals: A week to several months, furnished.
Best for owners who want to use their house and earn rental income.

Residential Long Term Rentals: 6 months to several year leases, unfurnished, including multi-unit buildings.
Best for owners who want stable income, and won't be using the property.

As a property owner with the San Carlos Agency, you can have as much or as little involvement with the rental of your property as you want. Give us a call today to discuss which program best suits your needs!
